The Role configuration allows you to select which transactions (under work flows) are visible to a user.

The procurement role can only create and confirm POs. |
Click New Role to create a role. Click Edit to edit a role. 
Select transactions in the Associated Transactions section that should be available to users with the current role. 
All work flows (and their details) are available.
Roles can also be used to specify individual alerts for a user.
Select alerts in the Alert Configurations section that should be enabled for users with the current role.Enable
Turn on the Alter Alerts toggle buttonto allow users with the current role to make changes to their subscribed alerts.
