Alert Processing

Alert Subscriptions

Logistics Execution > Setup > Alert Subscription

Use the Alert Subscriptions form to create alerts based on configurable rules.

These rules apply at either the activity level or worker level.

  • Activity-level alerts can process against the Requested Start Date Time or Requested End Date Time fields on the activity.
  • Worker-level alerts can process against the Requested Date Time field on each activity line.

Click New to create a subscription.

Next, select an Alert Time Sub Type from the drop-down list on the new line:

The left-most column displays whether it is an activity-level or worker-level alert.

The Transport + Deliver alert subscription results in records being created in the Transport + Deliver Alerts form. If Dynamics 365 alerts are desired, they need to be configured against the Transport + Deliver Alerts table.

Alert subscription processing (i.e., the job that looks at alert subscriptions and current data to generate alerts on the Transport + Deliver Alerts form) can be found under Logistics Execution > Periodic > Alert Processing.

This job should be scheduled to run often enough to handle the configured alert subscriptions.

Alerts Form

Logistics Execution > Inquiries > Alerts

Alerts created from alert subscriptions display on the Alerts form.

Note

These are Transport + Deliver alerts.

Each record displays when the alert was created as well as the associated operation and activity.

More information about the selected record displays at the bottom of the form.

Click Options  and then click Create a custom alert to create a base alert over the Transport + Deliver Alert form.

This opens the Create alert rule flyout window for configuration of the base D365 alert.

Further details regarding base D365 alert options are available within D365 documentation.

Note

Depending on the D365 version in use, base hotfixes may be required for base alert functionality.
