Global order promising > Maintain > Item substitution action message
Item substitution action messages can be created as a result of either Always substitute or Availability shortage substitution rules when the substitution action is set to With permission.
This functionality allows you to accept or deny individual substitutions.
The filter is initially set to only display pending actionable action messages.
There are several fields in the Details section that can help you decide whether to approve or deny the substitution.
Select the desired records and then click either Approve substitution or Deny substitution at the top of the form.
Item Substitution Action Message from Sales Order
You can also view substitution action messages for all order lines on a sales order.
All sales order > Global order promising tab > Item substitution action message
Click Item substitution action message in the Item substitution section on the Global order promising tab to open the Order item substitution action message form that displays action message for all order lines on that order.
