Packing Profiles
Packing profiles are used heavily during the packing process to control screen flow and options as well as how labels are printed.
The Packing Profiles page allows you to create or edit packing profiles.
New or Edit Packing Profile
Click New to create a packing profile. Click Edit to edit a packing profile.
This opens a pop-up window where you can enter the following details:

Name | The packing profile name. |
Description | A detailed packing profile description. |
Containers | |
Generate Container ID | Turn on this toggle to automatically generate the container ID when a new container is created. If disabled, you must enter the desired container ID. |
Default Container Type | The default container type when this packing profile is used. |
Disable Prompt for Container Type | Turn on this toggle if this container type can be changed from the default. |
Pallet Building | |
Enable Pallet Building | Turn on this toggle to enable pallet building. |
Generate Pallet ID | Turn on this toggle to automatically generate the pallet ID when a new pallet is created. If disabled, you must enter the desired pallet ID. |
Default Pallet Type | The default pallet type when this packing profile is used. |
Disable Prompt For Pallet Type | Turn on this toggle if this pallet type can be changed from the default. |
Packing | |
Enable Line Packing | Turn on this toggle if lines can be packed under this profile. It is possible to create and manifest containers without packing them. |
Select a packing flow:
Note A packing flow can only be selected if the Enable Line Packing toggle is turned on. | |
Enable Case Pack | Turn on this toggle to enable Case Pack functionality. The Case Pack function allows you to quickly create multiple containers based on item attributes. This is typically used when shipping "cases" of product. |
Automatically Close Case Pack Containers | Turn on this toggle to automatically close containers created using the Case Pack function. If disabled, you must manually close each individual container after creation. Note This toggle is only available if the Enable Case Pack toggle is turned on. |
Shipping | |
Allow Rate Shop Unpacked Lines | Turn on this toggle if the packer can rate shop unpacked lines. If disabled, only packed containers can be considered when rate shopping. |
Carrier Rating Group | Select a carrier rating group for the packing profile. These groups are managed on the Carrier Groups page. |
Delete Packing Profile
Select the desired record and click Delete.
Click OK on the confirmation pop-up window to confirm the deletion.
Copy Packing Profile
Select the desired packing profile and click Copy.
A duplicate is created with a timestamp appended to the end of the name. You can adjust the name and description on the copy.
Copying is useful if multiple (but similar) packing profiles are needed.
Make Default
Select the desired record and click Make Default to mark it as the default packing profile.
