Obtain Credentials

Please reach out to your local USPS representative regarding how to obtain credentials and whether other certifications are needed.
You may also request credentials by emailing GSShelp@usps.gov with the GSS Mailer Profile Form completed.

Manage Credential Set

Add credentials to System > Configurations > Carrier > USPS APIs > Manage Carrier Credentials.

You can store multiple credential sets for USPS APIs.

Important

Account assignment data is required.
If you are switching between the default and other credential sets, make sure your account assignment is set to "Default" in order to prevent shipping operation interruptions.

FIELD	DESCRIPTION
Default Credential Set	Select a credential set for the carrier to use and click Save. Important SCC uses the Default Credential Set if there is not a match between the account assignment value and your credential sets.
Create Credential Set	Click this button to create a credential set. The credential set name maps to the account number in Account Assignment.
Manage Carrier Credentials	Click this button to manage your USPS credentials. These credentials are sent to USPS based on the account assignment's credential set.
