Global order promising > Maintain > Demand validation exception

A demand validation exception record is created when the demand validation fails for a demand line.

If the Demand Validation Policy is set to:

  • Warn: An exception record is created but is already bypassed (not actionable).
  • Restrict: The exception is actionable (can be Enforced or Bypassed).

The filter is initially set to only display pending actionable items.

You can filter as needed, select the appropriate rows to resolve, and click either Enforce validation or Bypass validation at the top of the form.

Click either button to update the Action performedAction performed date time, and/or Action selected by user fields.

Click Enforce validation to—after a confirmation prompt—update the order lines and set the delivery remainder to zero. This keeps the lines from being fulfilled.

Click Bypass validation to update the channel demand to be valid (assuming there are no unapproved validation exceptions for the demand) and to proceed with reservation and fulfillment.
