You can set up carrier customer accounts if you need to bill shipments to a third-party based on the carrier used.
You can view and edit these account numbers from the customer or from the sales order.
Customer
You can view and/or edit the Carrier customer account number in two places on the customer:

Account LevelSales and marketing > Customers > All customers Click the Carrier customer accounts button on the General tab of the All Customers form to configure third-party account numbers for each shipping carrier. The account-level list displays all configured customer accounts. Enter the third-party account number in the Carrier customer account number field to tell the system which account number to charge when shipping with the specified carrier. Address LevelSales and marketing > Customers > All customers < select a customer account < select Advanced from the More Options drop-down list in the Address FastTab Click the Carrier Customer Account button on the ribbon of the Manage addresses form to configure third-party account numbers for each shipping carrier. Enter the third-party account number in the Carrier customer account number field to tell the system which account number to charge when shipping with the specified carrier. At the address level, you can set up more than one delivery location per customer per carrier. You can then add a carrier customer account number for each delivery location. This allows you to have several carrier customer accounts for a single customer.
Navigate back to the Carrier customer accounts form accessed from the All Customers form to view all configured accounts, including account-level and address-level accounts. |
Sales Order
You can view and/or edit the Carrier customer account number in two places on the Sales order details form:
- Sales order header section in Lines view
- Transportation section in the Header view
