Logistics Execution > Setup > Network > Facilities

Facilities are the second to last item that must be created. Facilities represent the physical sites/structures where Activities may activities can take place in an Operation.

Facility IDUnique identifier for the facility.
DescriptionDescription of the facility.
Logistics Type

Defines the type of facility created. 

Facility types are defined under the Facilities option on the Logistics Types form.


General Section

Party NameThe party name associated with the facility.
OwnerIdentifies the primary contact for the facility.
Default PositionThe default status for newly created positions.


Addresses Section

This section displays a list of applicable addresses for the facility.

Attributes Section

This section displays a list of applicable attributes for the facility.

Operations Section

This section displays a list of operations that are enabled to use the facility.

Positions Section

This section displays a list of locations within the facility (similar to locations in warehouses).

Owned Assets Section

This section displays a list of assets associated with the facility (by Home Facility field on Assets form).


Change Party

Similar to operations, facilities are associated with a party.

When a facility is associated with an operation, the operation contact and document information is automatically assigned to the facility.
