When creating a logistic order, you are required to input both a start and end address for the header.
The available addresses are dependent on which operation the logistics order is being created in (the Logistics Execution option in the drop-down list below).
They are also dependent on the selected customer (the Customer option in the drop-down list below).
You can switch between operation-related addresses and customer-related addresses, as desired.
Logistics Execution > Common > All Logistics Orders > New
If the desired address is not in D365, click the plus button next to the Name field to create a one-time address. The new address is added to the customer for the associated logistics order.
Use the search function to search D365 for the desired address.
Similar functionality exists when choosing addresses at the logistics line level. Logistics Execution and Customer addresses are available in the address pop-up window as drop-down list options, as well as the ability to search and add addresses.
Once the logistics order header is saved (or the lines are saved), you cannot edit the address directly. You will have to use the Change Address action.
