D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management

  • Primarily base code with Blue Horseshoe extensions

  • Ship requests can be used with multiple engines

Supply Chain Cloud

SCC Engine

  • Accepts Ship request from Dynamics 365 and creates SCC request against SCC Ship

  • Receives SCC response from SCC Ship and creates Ship response


Supply Chain Cloud Ship

  • Accepts the SCC request

  • Creates third-party requests to interact with individual carriers

  • Processes third-party responses from carriers and passes information back in the SCC response

Carrier

  • Can be more than one request (e.g., some SCC requests may become multiple requests)

Note: Weights may be rounded during this request depending on the carrier.

Troubleshooting Tips

To center in on where the problem is originating, look at the Supply Chain Cloud transaction in Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.

To find this, navigate to:

Transportation management > Periodic tasks > Transactions

You can view request and response data and review specific transactions in the process.

SCC request looks wrong but Ship request looks correct

This could be a problem in the SCC engine.

Ship request looks incorrect

This could be a problem in the the Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management logic.

SCC request looks correct but third-party request looks incorrect

This could be a problem in the Supply Chain Cloud.
