Configuring User Functions

Click User Function List while editing a calculation field to view or edit user functions.

You can add, delete, and edit user functions.


Click the i button to view calculation fields that are currently using a specific user function.


Click + to add a user function. Click Edit to edit a user function.

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Name

Name for the user function.

Because user functions are meant to be used in different ways, it is best to name them generically and based on what they do.

Description

Detailed description of the user function.

Operator

Mathematical operator for the user function.

User Function Parameter Name

Name of the parameter.

User Function Parameter Type

Field type for the parameter:

  • Field: Parameter comes from a field. The field must be set on the calculation field.
  • Fixed: Parameter is a fixed value. The fixed value must be set on the calculation field.
  • Function: Parameter is another user function that needs to be specified.


If user functions are nested, the necessary number of parameters will be requested when setting up a calculation field.
