Custom Carrier Rating Flow

1. Rate Bases: Create a rate base. A rate base allows LTL carriers to calculate the gross freight charges of a specific shipment before discounts are factored in. For every 100 pounds shipped, there is an associated cost, which equates to the gross charges or rate base. 
2. Rate Masters: Create a rate master. A rate master is used to determine available rates for a shipping carrier and whether you want to use that carrier for a shipping assignment. 
3. Custom Carriers: Create a custom LTL carrier. You can then assign a rate master to your custom carrier (or carrier service) for a specified date range.

Optional Configurations

Supply Chain Cloud

• Manage Accessorials: Configure internal accessorial rates and fees for your custom carrier. You can then select these accessorials on the Pack Station when packing shipments for this carrier.

• PRO Numbers: Enable PRO number generation for your custom carrier.

• Transportation Tenders: Build out LTL loads and then tender the loads out to carriers for pickup and delivery to the destination. These can be inbound or outbound loads.

• Shipping Carrier Setup: Configure a carrier service to support LTL rating by enabling the Support Confirmation and Suppress Packing options.
