Example
It is 8 PM on Friday, July 9, before a holiday weekend. You want to view the next available USPS shipping date.
Confirm your carrier settings to make sure the system can calculate the next valid shipping date.
- Carrier Cutoffs: The USPS cutoff time is 7 PM and there is no Saturday or Sunday pickup.
- Non-Shipping Dates: Monday, July 12, is marked as a non-shipping date because of a holiday.
The system will run a series of checks:
- Is it past the cutoff time on Friday? Yes - check next day.
- Is Saturday a valid ship date? No - check next day.
- Is Sunday a valid ship date? No - check next day.
- Is Monday a valid ship date? No - holiday - check next day.
- Is Tuesday a valid ship day? Yes.
Tuesday is the next valid shipping date.
