Sourcing Regions
Global order promising > Setup > Demand sourcing > Region
The Region configuration page allows you to define geographical regions for demand and to list a sequence of warehouses to attempt to source that demand from.
This allows you to prioritize which warehouses to use for different geographical regions in order to keep freight costs lower and to shorten shipping time.
Sustainability: Reduce Transportation
Prioritize outbound deliveries by proximity to customers to reduce transportation emissions per route.
See Sustainability with Supply Chain Cloud for more information.

Default vendors | Click this button to configure a default vendor for items in this region. If using direct delivery when sourcing, the item first tries to use the default vendor for the region, if configured. If not, it uses the default vendor set up on the item master. If demand sourcing reaches a warehouse marked Source using direct delivery and the item is configured with a default vendor, the sales line updates as needed for direct delivery and a PO is created for the selected vendor. |
