Packing Flow

The packing flow is determined by your Packing Profile.

Supply Chain Cloud supports the following packing flows:

 Scan to Pack

Scan each individual item (shipment lines do not need to be selected first).

When Scan to Pack flow is enabled, click the barcode button to open a prompt for an item barcode.

Each time an item is scanned, the system packs a single unit of the associated item into the currently selected container.

 Select and Pack

Select the line(s) to be packed in the Shipment Lines section and click one of the packing buttons in the center of the page:

BUTTON

Note

You can only pack into an open container.

>

Prompts for the quantity to pack.

This allows for partial packing of a line into a container.

Note

You can only pack into an open container.

To unpack a line from a container, select the container line in the Container Lines section and click one of the unpacking buttons in the center of the page:

<

 Case Pack

Case Pack is an additional packing option available with either packing flow.

The Case Pack function is a good solution for companies that ship full cases of product (and do not overpack items into additional boxes).

To use Case Pack, select a shipment line to pack and click the three boxes button.

The system prompts you to enter additional values.

After filling in all required fields, click Pack. The system creates the desired containers and packs the selected item into those containers as requested.

If your Packing Profile has the Automatically Close Case Pack Containers option enabled, the generated containers are automatically closed.
