Carrier Groups

The Carrier Groups page allows you to create carrier groups to increase rate shopping and bidding efficiency.
Carrier groups can be assigned to packing profiles (only one carrier group per packing profile) but are not required for a packing profile.
Create or Edit Carrier Group
Click New to create a carrier group, then select the type of group you want to create:
Click Edit to edit a carrier group.
Create or Edit Bidding Group
Bidding groups are used for tendering.
You must populate the rank in the desired order for ranked bid scenarios. See Tender Bidding Overview for more information.

| Name | Enter a name for the carrier group. |
| Description | Enter a description for the carrier group. |
| Carrier Services | Click New to add a line to the section and enter carrier and carrier service details. You can add the same carrier multiple times with different service levels, if required. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the rank sequence, as needed. |
Create or Edit Rate Shop Group
Rating groups are used for shipping.
You can assign carrier services to a group that will prepopulate the rate shop filter.
Then, when you click Rate Shop, you can rate shop immediately, removing the step of opening the filter criteria selector and selecting individual services.

| Carrier Service | Select the carrier and carrier services. Click the arrow to expand the carrier options. |
Delete Carrier Group
Select the desired record and click Delete to delete a carrier group record.
Click OK on the confirmation pop-up window to confirm the deletion.
Copy Carrier Group
Select the desired carrier group and click Copy.
A duplicate is created with a timestamp appended to the end of the name. You can adjust the name and description on the copy.
Copying is useful if multiple (but similar) carrier groups are needed.
