Assigning Accessorials

Automatically Assign an Accessorial

  1. Go to Transportation management > Setup > Rating > Accessorial assignments.
  2. Click New to create a new record.
  3. In the Details section, fill in the Shipping carrier and Carrier accessorial ID fields. Set any other desired fields.
  4. In the Criteria section, fill in any fields necessary for your specific setup. The selections in this section create the automatic accessorial assignment and define when it gets applied.
  5. In the Calculation section, set the Accessorial fee type field to Flat and the Accessorial fee field to "0.00."
  6. Click Save.

Note

  • The assignment of an accessorial is a trigger to the carrier that you need a service. The carrier will then calculate the appropriate fees.
  • We recommend the Flat and “0.00” settings so that fees can be calculated by the carrier.

Important

The Disable Pre-rating Calls option on the SCC Shipping Parameters page can interfere with accessorials. Keep this toggle turned off when auto-assigning accessorials.

Manually Assign an Accessorial

You can manually assign accessorials at the shipment or container level.

Note

You must have an accessorial assignment configured for each accessorial because you must specify the accessorial assignment level

  1. Go to Warehouse management > Packing and containerization > Pack to pack your containers.

  2. Once your containers are packed, either:
    1.  select Shipment accessorial charges from the Transportation option in the ribbon

  3. Click New to create a record in either the Shipment Accessorial Charges or Container Accessorial Charges sections.

  4. Select your accessorial from the Carrier accessorial ID drop-down list.
