Container Types Setup
Warehouse management > Setup > Containers > Container types
Container types designate the box being packed into during the packing process.
The Container types form allows you to create or edit container types.

Overview | |
Container type code | Enter a name for your container type. |
Description | Enter a detailed container type description. |
General | |
WEIGHT | |
Tare weight | Enter the weight of the container. This is used to generate a more accurate system-estimated weight during packing. |
Maximum net weight | Enter the maximum net weight. |
Ship Container Type | Select the container type. |
Ship Container Type External Code | Enter the carrier's code for the container type being used. Note This is required for FedEx One Rate containers. This automatically populates the Ship Container Type field when containers are set up. See FedEx One Rate for more information. |
LTL Package Type | Enter the packaging type for the LTL integration. Note This works for LTL Rate Engines only. |
CONTAINER DIMENSIONS | |
Container length/width/height/volume | Enter the outside dimensions of the container type. |
Unit | Select the unit of measure to use when specifying dimensions for this container type. |
MAXIMUMS | |
Volume/Length/Width/Height | Enter the maximum dimensions allowed to pack into an individual container type. Important Make sure to configure the maximum dimensions. These are currently transmitted to Supply Chain Cloud as the container dimensions. |
Hazardous Materials | |
Packing Type | Enter the hazardous materials identification of the packing type. |
Prompt for Dry Ice | Turn on this toggle to trigger a dry ice prompt during the close container process. See Dry Ice for more information on this functionality. |
