Accessorial Setup

Note

The following steps are an overview of the accessorial setup process. Please see Microsoft's Transportation management help for more information.

  1. Set up your accessorial masters. Masters are top-level definitions (e.g., Saturday delivery, signature confirmation, etc.).

    • Go to Transportation management > Setup > Rating > Accessorial masters.
    • Click New.
    • Enter a value in the Accessorial master field.
    • Enter a value in the Name field.
    • Select Shipping carrier from the Accessorial type drop-down list.
    • Click Save.

  2. Set up carrier accessorial charges. Carrier charges define specifics (e.g., ID, name, carrier, type). They are tied to a master.

    • Go to Transportation management > Setup > Rating > Carrier accessorial charges.
    • Click New.
    • Enter a value in the Carrier accessorial ID field.
    • Select an option from the Shipping carrier field.
    • You may select an option from the Carrier service field, as needed.
    • Select your newly created accessorial master from the Accessorial master field to tie this charge to its master.
    • You may enter values in the External code and Billing group ID fields, as needed.
    • Select an option from the Accessorial delivery type field. This field ties into Supply Chain Cloud functionality.
    • Click Save.

  3. Assign the accessorial. Accessorials can be assigned automatically via the Accessorial assignments form or manually during packing. See Assigning Accessorials.
