Return Carrier
Return Carrier
Supply Chain Cloud > Setup > Return Carrier
Use this table to tie the carrier accessorial ID to a return carrier and/or return carrier service.
Example
A subscription company (e.g., clothing, pet toys, home goods, etc.) ships packages overnight and includes a return label with every shipment. The return service is not overnight but ground.
When a return carrier is specified, the return account assignment credentials are sent along with the request.
Note
- Changes to this table are reflected on the Carrier Accessorial Charges page, and changes to the return information on that page are reflected on this table.
- You will override your Ship Account Assignment configuration if you set this to a different return carrier. In this situation, you must select account assignment records that have the Return toggle turned on.
FedEx SmartPost
When creating a return using FedEx SmartPost:
- You must have a different set of account credentials for the forward shipment and the return. See the Returns section on Ship Account Assignment for more information.
- Your return credentials must have the Return toggle turned on. See the Returns section on Ship Account Assignment for more information.
- You need to specify the HubId and AncilliaryEndorsement for the forward shipment only when defining rate engine parameters.
- Minimum container dimensions: 6 x 4 x 1 (Length x Width x Height).
